What does Fundashon Ultimo Deseo Aruba do?
One last smile on the face of a loved one, one last time enjoying the company of family, friends, and other loved ones, one last time experiencing that feeling of home, one last time going to the beach, one last time seeing the sunrise, one last time visiting a grandchild's commune, or one last time going to Carnival. These are just a few examples. FUDA fulfills the final wishes of Aruban terminally ill people who are no longer mobile and are in the final stages of their lives. These are sometimes very small wishes that are priceless to these people, but which cannot be fulfilled due to their limited mobility.​
FUDA fulfills these wishes with an ambulance always staffed with qualified medical personnel. All wishes are fulfilled free of charge; the foundation covers the costs for everyone involved in the transport in the ambulance. In addition to the person in question, the ambulance has room for two family members/friends and two volunteers from the foundation (driver and nurse).

Wishes
How does a wish request work?
In order to schedule a request, we need a completed wish form. As soon as we have received the form, one of our request coordinators will contact you within 24 hours to discuss the possibilities and schedule the request. Therefore, please state a telephone number on the form as a contact person, so that we can reach you. After submitting the request, we will arrange everything else.
Costs
Our wish fulfillment is completely free of charge. Fundashon Ultimo Deseo Aruba covers all costs during the Wednesday for everyone who rides in the ambulance. Think of entrance tickets, reservations etc. So not just the transportation.
Duration
FUDA has partnered with ImSan to provide an ambulance and driver. Requests will always be scheduled in consultation with you.
In addition, there are also requests with a fixed date (e.g., a wedding or a specific planned event). These requests will be communicated to ImSan in advance so they can be scheduled if necessary.
And then there are also urgent requests for which postponement is not possible. These requests will also be submitted in consultation with ImSan, and we will assess whether fulfilling the request on the specific date is feasible.
For whom can a wish be requested?
We fulfill the wishes of anyone who depends on lying down in an ambulance. Unfortunately, wheelchairs are not permitted or possible to be transported in ambulances.

FUDA fulfills last wishes for immobile and terminally ill people in Aruba, regardless of their social and/or cultural background and/or status.

By experiencing this event, we want to add quality of life to that final period, so that perhaps a little light can shine again in those final days for the person themselves and their loved ones.
